Daliea

“How we shape our environment determines how we feel; how we feel changes everything.

I believe that colours have the power to heal people. I want to touch people inside, and make them feel a spark in a world that is so overwhelming, and bombarded with chaos.  I want to enlighten everyone I meet, and help them understand the world a little bit better.”-Daliea
Born in December 6, 1990, Daliea, is now a Toronto based Canadian Artist who passionately expresses herself through painting in the fashion of contemporary surrealism. Her paintings demonstrate power of authority, freedom from the self, and Rebellion.  They frequently  contain strategic miscalculations that capture both the subtleness and boldness of the painted concept.  Her creativity  is “out of the box,”  yet still sophisticated. Her art is nothing less than  monstrous, hypnotizing,  and majestic. Surrealism and conceptuality merge together to present familiar iconic images through her unique perspectives.

At the age of 6, Daliea attended a private school that her mother managed where she studied Art, Piano, and English as a second language.  She was very art driven , and her journey exposed her to different cultures, ethnicities, tastes and musical inspirations which dramatically influenced her artistic pallet.

She was listening to influential musicians such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Vivaldi, and Yanni by the age of 8. As she grew up, she continued to practice sketching and drawing, then finally, picking up the paint brush at the age of 17, where she fell in love with oil painting on canvas, her preferred medium today. Her first painting was done at the age of 17. Today at 24 years old, she has created over 20 masterpieces.

“Surrealism chose me. It picked me as it’s messenger because it fits me perfectly. In a way , it is also a reflection of my personality. Surreal art can invite you to escape into another world, but also allow you to notice familiarities that comfort you. It will give you a twisted yet intriguing outlook on something you thought you would never see in a different way.

It is Art at its finest because it is limitless. My imagination allows me to delve into my subconscious and create something that has  never existed before. When I see a canvas , the possibilities are endless! I love to paint larger than life paintings because they create a breathtaking environment, and I want others to feel the emotion of the painting up close and personal.”- Daliea

Dr Gilda Carle

Dr. Gilda Carle

Dr. Gilda Carle is the media’s go-to Relationship and Life Style Expert who has penned 15 books and now, Dr. Gilda Carle is using her well-honed skills to bring to light the plight of homeless Female Veterans.

For far to long now, Female Veterans have largely been ignored, with the media focus generally shining a light on their male counterparts.

But the predicament of homeless Female Veterans is not something to be ignored — the National Alliance reports that as troops return from operations in Iraq and Afghanistan homeless veterans are increasingly younger, female, and heads of households

They now comprise of the fastest growing group among the homeless and no one seems to be paying attention to the quandary these women find themselves in.

This is where Dr Gilda comes in. Through her educational nonprofit charity, Country Cures®, she runs a unique female-centric training program called “Pre-Employment Skills for SHEroes©” that uses Country Music and Female Language, which is helping transform lives and getting women off the street.

“These women feel hopeless, yet no one has been training them in Female Empowerment Skills so they can get jobs and become independent,” she says. “Female Vets comprise almost 15% of the military, and they’re more likely to be unemployed than male vets.  To retain jobs, they first need to sharpen their self-esteem, conflict management, and interpersonal communications.”

So why the use of country music?

CountryMusic (1)-2

Dr. Gilda explains that it works because it tells relationship stories with which Female Vets identify; Its string harmonics match the energy of the heart, small intestine, pericardium, thyroid, and adrenal glands; Its listeners are found to display “higher functioning behaviors” in truth, trust, and love (David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.); Its artists support the military, so it is familiar to Female Vets.

“The unique combination of FemaleTalk and Country Music is greatly successful with this invisible sector,” adds the renowned Empowerment Educator.  “The women respond as never before!”

You can help save homeless Female Veterans and their children by donating now to Country Cures and to learn more about Dr. Gilda, please visit her website: http://www.drgilda.com

Peyton Manning
Come Sunday, all eyes will be glued to the screen as Denver and Carolina battle it out in the Super Bowl.
And, in particular, many will be watching  Peyton Manning in what is very much believed to be his swan song — his final goodbye to the sport he has loved and cherished and excelled in.
The 39-year-old Peyton Manning is widely expected to retire after Sunday — win or lose.
But regardless of what occurs, the Denver quarterback is already regarded as one of the greats of the sport.
Peyton Manning has a few things left to accomplish” before he retires, his father, Archie, recently told “http://www.denverpost.com/paige/ci_29019102/special-season-many-reasons
And winning the Super Bowl this Sunday appears to be paramount.
Manning is on the fence whether retirement beckons.
“I haven’t made up my mind,” Manning said. “But I don’t see myself knowing that until after the season. … I kind of stay in the moment and focus on the task at hand and just deal with this week. That’s what I’ve done all season. … I think, had I been thinking about things past that, it would’ve affected me. And so it’s really served me well until this point and I’m going to stick with that for one more week.”
This will be his fourth career Super Bowl as he vies for his second victory and his legacy, regardless of the result, will be etched in history.
